Open carry in Georgia

Here's an article on open carry (actually, carrying in general, but the author goes out of his way to explore open carry) in Georgia in the wake of the new law that allows permit holders to legally carry in restaurants that serve alcohol and public transportation (buses, trains, etc.).

The article is written by someone new to carrying, and the reporter explicitly notes that his anti-gun editor made him add a standard anti-gun "explanation" for why all those big cities with their gun bans and strict gun control still have so much gun crime. I suspect his anti-gun editor may have influenced his writing in other ways.

The author of the article initially seems almost intimidated and ashamed at the idea of carrying a gun, and it comes as somewhat of a revelation when his open carrying does not result in the mass hysteria that he seems to have envisioned happening.

Read the article here.
