California lawyer targets San Francisco gun laws

Article profiling attorney Chuck Michel, who has filed suit on behalf of the NRA challenging San Francisco's ban on guns in public housing:
Between firing off lawsuits against San Francisco and Chicago on behalf of his clients, including the National Rifle Association, Michel spends time fielding calls from news reporters.

It's a labor of love for the 50-year-old father of two boys and the husband of a Redondo Beach deputy city prosecutor who grew up in rural New Jersey with a gun-collecting father.

"The right to self-defense and the use of firearms for self-defense is a fundamental civil right, and the movement toward expanding those rights is akin to every other civil rights movement throughout history," Michel said.
