With his campaign getting positively battered by political phenomenon Sarah Palin's appearance on the campaign trail,

beleaguered Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama has unveiled a new "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em" strategy in hopes of recapturing some voter enthusiasm for his candidacy:
