Wishing everyone a safe and happy Memorial Day, as we remember those who gave their lives in service to our country for the securing and protection of the freedoms we enjoy. May the fallen rest in the Lord's peace.

Just swinging around
Tonight's mesmerizing pendulum action:
From the video's description:
From the video's description:
Fifteen uncoupled simple pendulums of monotonically increasing lengths dance together to produce visual traveling waves, standing waves, beating, and (seemingly) random motion.
...
The period of one complete cycle of the dance is 60 seconds. The length of the longest pendulum has been adjusted so that it executes 51 oscillations in this 60 second period. By the way, Ms. Dunst won the best actress award for her performance in Mr. Von Trier's film. Congrats to her.
